Yunnan Xiyi Industrial Co., Ltd. (Xiyi) was founded in 1939 and its former name was ¡°Yunnan Southwest Instrument Factory¡±. Xiyi became a joint stock co***ny in April 2005 after the system reform. Now Xiyi is a large enterprise of class one under China South Industry Group, and is very much capable of machining, forging, sand casting, precision casting, surface treatment, heat treatment, cutting and clamping tools making, die making, etc. Xiyi has the calibration laboratory authorized by the State and the first-class physico-chemical laboratory certified by the Ministry.
Xiyi has three con-rod forging lines and four machining lines with the total annual production capacity of 5,000,000 forgings and 4,500,000 Xiyi brand engine con-rod assemblies. It is the largest con-rod manufacturer in China. Now Xiyi is upgrading its con-rod production lines so that the production capacity will be up to 11,000,000 con-rod forgings and 10,000,000 con-rod assemblies in 2009. A new fracture split con-rod production line will be completed in 2007 in order to hold the leading position of Xiyi in the same industry. The main machining and ***ecting equipment are all imported from abroad, which are up to the world advanced standard. With these sophisticated equipment, Xiyi¡¯s die design (CAD, Pro/E, Solidage UG), manufacturing CAM, finish forgings of con-rod and machining of con-rod assembly are all in the leading position in China. The con-rod products of more than thirty kinds manufactured by Xiyi include the con-rod assemblies of model 462Q (368Q, 465Q), 474Q, 4G1 (471Q), 4G9 (4G93, 4G94), 4100QB, 376QCT, 473Q, 483Q, KV6 and K4 1.8T, as well as VM2.5L fracture split con-rod. The products have been well received by customers since they were launched on market.
